Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $35-$45 DOE Benefits after 90 days
Job Description:
An HVAC Journeyman installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains residential, commercial, or industrial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
Key Responsibilities & Duties
System Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance, clean components, and test overall unit efficiency.
Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system failures, replace defective parts, and fix refrigerant leaks or charging issues.
Installation: Install new HVAC units, ductwork, thermostats, and associated piping or wiring according to blueprints
.Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, complete digital work orders, and log parts or materials used .Customer Service: Explain system issues and recommended repairs to clients professionally .Mentorship: Guide and support apprentices working on-site
For those employees that go permanent, after 90 days as a permanent employee, are eligible for 100% employee-paid medical, dental, and vision. 401k program, boot allowance, and a paid birthday off. For employees on permanent with Helt, we offer paid vacation (journeymen get 2 weeks per year with up to 40 hrs of carry over, all others are eligible for 1 week of vacation with a sliding scale as they progress with the company). These vacation hrs are for employees beginning employment January 1, it is prorated if employment begins midyear.
