Job Description:
Looking for 1st and 2nd Shift for two locations: Glendale Heights IL and Bloomingdale IL
- Wire EDM Operators, 3 axis CNC Operator (Grinders – Machine), Sink EDM Operators, 3 x 5 axis CNC Operators, and Milling Operator.

The EDM Operator- Wire or Sinker:
- Responsible for meeting the customer’s needs by setting up and operating a wire or sinker EDM machine to the customer’s specifications as detailed in the process books. While doing this task, achieving quality, cost and delivery objectives for assigned projects.
- Sets up (or the ability to learn) and operate EDM machines to ensure that machine parts are made according to the process sheets that meet or exceed published rates.
- Measures parts and reads measurement instruments using the following tools: Dial indicators, micrometers, calipers and plug gauges to ensure parts are within defined specifications to meet quality standards.
- Complete fixture teardowns and machine set ups as needed for a specified job.
- Identify the need and complete electrode and wire changes when needed.
- Detailed quality assurance review of work on a continuous basis taking full ownership of the part operation assigned.
- Appropriately label parts that do not meet quality standards.
- Reviews operational processes and makes suggestions for process improvements in production, quality and company performance.
- Complete a daily time records sheet to accurately reflect the amount of time per job activity.
- Proactively complete daily asset care requirements and subsequently escalate as needed maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor and maintenance team using established maintenance ticket process.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free from clutter. The machine must be wiped down each shift.
- 1 year manufacturing experience in tight tolerance production.
- Minimum of 5 years CNC EDM sinker or wire machining experience.
- Strong math skills demonstrated through assessment during hiring process.
- Must be able to measure parts within tight tolerances.
- Must be able to read indicators and use tools as detailed above.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English for customer, job and equipment specifications.
- Experience using measuring equipment such as caliper, micrometer, gages.
- 5 axis and/or 3 axis and surface grinding experience, preferred.
- 5S standards experience preferred.
- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- The ability to use a computer.
- Prior experience working in aerospace manufacturing industry.
CNC Machine Operator:
- Responsible for setup and machining of parts on 3-axis and 5-axis grinding, milling, and EDM equipment to meet our increasing customer demand. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, committed to safety for self and the team, hungry to learn and make improvement, a high standard for quality and process compliance, and a team player.
- 3 years of experience EDM or wire/electrode EDM, preferred.
- 5S standards experience preferred
- Prior experience working in aerospace manufacturing industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year manufacturing experience in tight tolerance production.
- 5 axis and/or 3 axis and surface grinding experience required.
- Strong math skills demonstrated through assessment during hiring process.
- Must be able to measure parts within tight tolerances.
- Must be able to read indicators and use tools as detailed above.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English for customer, job and equipment specifications.

- Measures parts and reads measurement instruments using the following tools: Dial indicators, micrometers, calipers and plug gauges
- Detailed quality assurance review of work on a continuous basis taking full ownership of the part operation assigned.
- Reviews operational processes and makes suggestions for process improvements in production, quality and company performance.
- Complete fixture tear-downs and machine set-ups as needed for a specified job
- Identify the need for and complete grinding wheel changes when needed.
- Proactively complete daily asset care requirements and subsequently escalate as needed maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor and maintenance team using established maintenance ticket process.
- Must be able to run multiple machines, assuring cycle run times and quality, per business demands.
- Keep work area clean, organized and free from clutter. The machine must be wiped down each shift.
