Job Summary
The Air Import Coordinator is responsible for managing international air freight import shipments from origin to final delivery. This role ensures timely transportation, customs compliance, accurate documentation, and excellent customer service while coordinating with airlines, overseas agents, customs brokers, truckers, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage air import shipments from arrival USA through final delivery.
- Monitor shipment status and provide proactive updates to customers.
- Arrange customs clearance with brokers and ensure compliance with import regulations.
- Coordinate delivery with trucking companies and warehouses.
- Track cargo arrival and resolve shipment delays or discrepancies.
- Enter shipment information into transportation management systems (IES)
- Verify and approve carrier, handling, and vendor invoices.
- Prepare customer billing and shipment cost breakdowns.
- Handle claims, damages, and service issues promptly.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or air import operations preferred.
- Knowledge of international air freight procedures and Incoterms.
- Understanding of customs regulations and import documentation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
