Job Description:
We are seeking a Digital Electronics Engineer to design, develop, test, and verify digital electronic systems used in avionics products. This Direct Hire role will work with VHDL, FPGAs, ASICs, microprocessors, and microcontrollers while supporting aerospace hardware development and DO-254 requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop digital electronic circuits and systems using VHDL.
- Develop and work with FPGA, ASIC, microprocessor, and microcontroller-based designs.
- Perform simulations, testing, troubleshooting, and verification of digital hardware.
- Use engineering and EDA tools for synthesis, timing analysis, and design implementation.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, test plans, requirements, and design records.
- Support DO-254 compliance and hardware certification activities.
- Work closely with Hardware, Software, Systems, Test, and Quality teams.
- Troubleshoot design issues and implement corrective solutions.
- Support the integration and testing of digital electronics within larger avionics systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience designing digital electronics using VHDL.
- Experience with FPGAs and/or ASICs.
- Knowledge of digital logic, timing, hardware interfaces, and digital design principles.
- Experience with tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Intel/Altera Quartus, or similar EDA platforms.
- Experience with laboratory test and debugging equipment.
- Experience with DO-254 is strongly preferred.
- Aerospace or avionics experience is preferred.
