Job Description:
The Aerosol Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of aerosol filling and packaging equipment. This position ensures aerosol products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with GMP, OSHA, quality, and company standards. Responsibilities include monitoring production lines, performing equipment adjustments, conducting quality checks, and maintaining accurate production records.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate aerosol filling, crimping, gassing, labeling, and packaging equipment.
- Set up production lines according to batch records and production schedules.
- Perform changeovers, equipment adjustments, and minor repairs.
- Monitor filling weights, pressure levels, valve placement, and product quality.
- Conduct in-process quality inspections and document results.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Follow all GMP, SOP, OSHA, and safety procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized production areas.
- Complete production logs, downtime reports, and batch documentation.
- Assist with preventive maintenance activities and equipment calibration.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance and Maintenance departments to resolve production issues.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with aerosol filling equipment is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of GMP, OSHA, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read production documents and SOPs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
