Job Description:
A growing manufacturing operation is looking for experienced CNC and EDM Machine Operators to join its team. Candidates with strong machining experience, particularly Wire EDM or Sink EDM, are encouraged to apply.
Highly skilled operators may be considered for pay above the listed range based on experience and qualifications.

- Wire EDM Operator – 1st & 2nd Shift
- Sink EDM Operator – 1st & 2nd Shift
- 3-Axis CNC Operator – 1st & 2nd Shift
- 5-Axis CNC Operator – 1st & 2nd Shift
Glendale Heights, IL
- Wire EDM Operator – 1st & 2nd Shift
- Sink EDM Operator – 1st & 2nd Shift
- Milling Operator – 1st & 2nd Shift
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC, EDM, milling, grinding, or related machining equipment.
- Produce precision components according to blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.
- Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment.
- Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed.
- Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet required specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- Previous CNC machining or EDM experience required.
- Strong preference for candidates with Wire EDM or Sink EDM experience.
- Experience in a machine shop environment.
- Ability to identify and properly use common precision measuring tools.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift.
Experience We Are Looking For
Candidates should be prepared to discuss their previous machine shop experience, including:
- Type of machine shop experience: aerospace, automotive, medical, precision manufacturing, or other.
- CNC experience, including 3-axis, 5-axis, milling, grinding, or other CNC equipment.
- EDM experience, specifically Wire EDM or Sink EDM.
- Machine setup, operation, tooling, offsets, and adjustments.
- Blueprint reading and inspection experience.
Interview Process
The first part of the interview will include a hands-on identification of common precision measuring tools. Candidates should be comfortable identifying:
- Dial indicators
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Plug gauges
