Job Description:
Seeking an experienced EHS Administrator III to support and administer Environmental, Health, and Safety programs within its aerospace manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for helping ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and occupational safety regulations while promoting a safe and compliant workplace.
The EHS Administrator III will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Facilities, and Human Resources to identify workplace hazards, maintain regulatory documentation, coordinate training, support audits and inspections, and assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer and support company Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and procedures.
- Monitor compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, Florida environmental, and local safety regulations.
- Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions or practices.
- Assist with job hazard analyses, risk assessments, and corrective-action plans.
- Maintain EHS records, logs, permits, inspection reports, training documentation, and compliance files.
- Maintain and support OSHA injury and illness recordkeeping requirements.
- Assist with workplace incident, injury, near-miss, and environmental investigations.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and track corrective and preventive actions through completion.
- Coordinate and deliver employee safety orientation and ongoing EHS training.

- Review Safety Data Sheets and maintain chemical inventories.
- Coordinate proper handling, storage, labeling, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Assist with environmental permits, reporting requirements, and regulatory submissions.
- Conduct internal EHS audits and participate in external regulatory or customer audits.
- Work with production and engineering personnel to evaluate new equipment, manufacturing processes, and facility modifications for EHS risks.
- Support emergency preparedness drills, evacuation procedures, and response plans.
- Monitor safety trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare EHS reports, presentations, metrics, and management summaries.
- Communicate safety requirements to employees, supervisors, contractors, and visitors.
- Support contractor safety and facility safety programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
- Typically 3–5+ years of Environmental, Health, and Safety experience, preferably within manufacturing, aerospace, electronics, or another regulated industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of OSHA occupational-safety requirements.
- Familiarity with EPA and environmental compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Experience with accident and incident investigations.
- Strong knowledge of corrective-action and root-cause-analysis processes.
- Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them to manufacturing operations.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace, aviation, electronics, or precision-manufacturing experience.
- Experience working in an AS9100 or ISO-regulated manufacturing environment.
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification.
- HAZWOPER or hazardous-material-handling training.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Knowledge of industrial hygiene monitoring.
- Experience with hazardous waste and environmental reporting.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, machine guarding, chemical processes, and facility safety.
