Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Overtime: Must be flexible to stay until 4:30 PM when needed
Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable Material Handler / Delivery Driver to join a precision manufacturing operation supporting the aerospace, defense, and energy industries.
This is primarily a warehouse position. The majority of your time will be spent picking orders, operating a stand-up high-reach forklift, preparing materials, and loading trucks. You will occasionally drive a company box truck or van between nearby facilities in Bloomingdale, Glendale Heights, and Carol Stream.
Responsibilities
- Pick orders from warehouse racks and accurately document materials.
- Operate a stand-up high-reach forklift safely and efficiently.
- Move materials to the shipping dock and load company vehicles.
- Verify quantities and accuracy of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory, and material handling activities.
- Safely load and unload company vehicles.
- Occasionally deliver materials between nearby company locations.
- Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing requirements.
- Communicate with shipping, receiving, inventory, and production teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience required.
- Stand-up high-reach forklift experience required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must be able to pass a motor vehicle record check.
- Previous delivery or company vehicle driving experience preferred.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
- Basic computer, data entry, and math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Manufacturing or aerospace experience is a plus.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain on your feet throughout the workday.
- Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching.
- Ability to frequently lift at least 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to maneuver materials at or above waist level.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Schedule & Location
Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with flexibility to work until 4:30 PM when needed.
The position will initially be based in Bloomingdale, IL, with occasional short-distance deliveries between nearby facilities in Bloomingdale, Glendale Heights, and Carol Stream.
