Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Yard Mule Operator to join our logistics team in the Sweetwater, FL area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving trailers throughout our facility yard. This position requires fluency in both English and Spanish to communicate effectively with our diverse logistics team and dispatchers.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Yard Mule / Yard Jockey safely to move, spot, and park trailers at designated loading docks or staging areas.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the yard mule and report any maintenance issues.
- Coordinate closely with dispatchers, warehouse leads, and drivers to ensure a smooth flow of yard traffic.
- Chock trailer wheels and hook/unhook air lines and electrical cords as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment adhering to all safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of verifiable experience operating a Yard Mule / Yard Jockey.
- Language: Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to speak, read, and understand instructions in both languages.
- Flexibility: Must be able to work overtime
