We have multiple openings for experienced Die Cast Maintenance Technicians with our World Class Automotive Client located in Shelbyville, IN. These positions offer direct hire opportunities, world-class benefits from Day 1, and a climate-controlled work environment.

Job Responsibilities:
As a Die Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining die cast tooling. Your responsibilities include:
- Performing repairs on various dies and disassembling/reassembling dies.
- Replacing components such as core pins, hydraulic cylinders, ejector pins, etc.
- TIG welding to repair die breaks.
- Grinding and polishing dies to restore them to specification.
- Spotting inserts and working with entire dies.
- Operating overhead and gantry cranes.
- Ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
- Troubleshooting complicated repairs and providing recommendations for the best repair approach.
- Responding to engineering requests and ensuring that proper approval is received for any changes.
- Conducting preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Overseeing an assigned team of Die Maintenance Operators and Leads, ensuring safety and quality compliance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Exposure to welding techniques such as MIG, ARC, and TIG welding is a plus.
- Strong mechanical skills and ability to disassemble and reassemble mechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as mills, lathes, and grinders.
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and machine practices.
- Ability to use calipers and micrometers for dimensional inspections.
- Experience with oxygen acetylene torches.
