Requirements of position
|
|
|
|
|
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of maintenance management experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, or biotech preferred).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation systems.
- Experience with CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FDA, cGMP, OSHA, and NSF.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Lean Manufacturing and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) knowledge.
- Experience with validation and qualification of GMP equipment.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities of position
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all GMP manufacturing equipment (mixers, encapsulators, tablet presses, bottling/packaging lines, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues to minimize downtime.
- Oversee the maintenance of HVAC, water purification, compressed air, and other critical facility systems.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, cGMP, and other regulatory requirements related to equipment maintenance.
- Manage spare parts inventory and procurement to prevent delays in repairs.
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and engineers.
- Develop training programs to ensure staff is knowledgeable in GMP, safety, and equipment operation.
- Schedule and assign work orders, ensuring proper documentation through CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Oversee capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility expansions in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Manage external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and equipment installation.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment failures.
- Maintain thorough records of maintenance activities in alignment with FDA, NSF, and GMP requirements.
- Ensure all equipment calibrations and validations are performed as required.
- Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance activities.
