Company Overview:
 Our Aerospace client located in Miami, FL, is seeking a skilled Engine Mechanic with experience working on Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 turboprop engines. This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive wages and a chance to grow within the aerospace industry.
Position Overview:
 As an Engine Mechanic (PT6), you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of PT6 turboprop engines. This role requires experience with disassembly, assembly, and inspection procedures, as well as performing services in compliance with manufacturer manuals and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of PT6 engines according to approved data and published work scopes.
  • Disassemble, sub-assemble, and reassemble PT6 engines.
  • Inspect engine parts and related components for wear and damage.
  • Ensure proper configuration and fit during the build process.
  • Follow correct servicing procedures for all systems.
  • Complete all work in accordance with posted work scopes and company guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as an aviation mechanic, specifically with PT6 engines.
  • Proficient in the use of tools, measuring equipment, and related instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engine manuals, drawings, and technical bulletins.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aviation engines and components.
  • Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Must possess a basic toolbox.
  • Powerplant License is strongly preferred.
Additional Skills (A Plus):
  • Experience as an aviation mechanic or test cell operator.
  • Experience in the repair and overhaul of Auxiliary Power Units (APUs).
  • Field Service work experience with related engines or aircraft.
Work Schedule:
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with additional hours as needed.
