Job Squad is looking for an Electrician/Mechanic in Mount Prospect, IL for 1st shift for our Manufacturing Facility.
Job Duties:
Responsibilities:
- Install, diagnose and repair electrical and electronic components of manufacturing and utility equipment. May work with all voltages.
- Plan layout and install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
- Disassemble and repair equipment within the facility (i.e., motors, pumps, packaging equipment, HVAC equipment).
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic components of machinery and equipment.
- Adjust functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
- Identify materials needed and complete assigned work orders.
- Troubleshoot, repair and reprogram programmable logic control, (PLC), devices.
- Maintain process and utility equipment by performing preventative inspections.
- Work with schematics and blueprints.
- Safely operate hand and power tools.
- Promote good work and housekeeping practices.
- Adhere to all company safety, ISO 9000 and 14000 policies and procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned by the Manager.
Education and/or Experience
- H.S. diploma or general education degree, (GED),
- 4-5 years’ experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance functions.
- Position requires training and experience in electrical wiring and electronic troubleshooting. Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must have the ability to fill out PM’s and work orders and speak effectively with other of varying backgrounds such outside contractors and all levels of employees.
- Should possess appropriate math skills and be able to solve practical problems in a variety of circumstances.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Some heavy lifting could be required (typically up to 50 pounds).
MUST HAVE AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES.
