Our world-class automotive supplier based in Columbus, OH, is seeking experienced Plant Maintenance Technicians for direct hire opportunities. The ideal candidates will bring expertise in automotive plant operations, robotic welding, and automation systems. Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and troubleshoot robotic welding systems (Fanuc, ABB, Motoman, KUKA).
  • Perform maintenance on automation welding processes, including robotic MIG welding, laser welding, projection welding, spot welding, and resistance welding.
  • Work with pneumatic systems (cylinders, valves, flow controls, fittings, clamps, slides, and bearings).
  • Ensure the proper functioning of various sensors (photo eyes, laser sensors, PNP/NPN, part-present sensors, barrel sensors, chicklets, read switches, cables, amplifiers, nut sensors).
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, including control panels and sensor cables (24V to 480V).
Qualifications:
  • Required Experience:
    • Robotic welding experience with Fanuc, ABB, Motoman, or KUKA robots.
    • Experience with automation welding processes (robotic MIG, laser welding, projection, spot, and resistance welding).
    • Proficiency with pneumatics systems and components.
    • Knowledge of sensors used in automation processes.
    • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (control panels, sensor cables, 24V to 480V).
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with Allen Bradley RS Logix 500, 5000, FactoryTalk View Studio, Allen Bradley Panel Builder32, Omron CX-Programmer, and Omron NT-series Support Tool.
    • Familiarity with PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting, as well as robot programming.
    • Knowledge of industrial network troubleshooting (DeviceNet, EthernetIP).
    • Understanding of VFD, DC, and Servo Drive systems.
