Production Mechanic - Direct Hire
  
Our world-class food preparation client in Denver City, Texas, is seeking experienced Production Mechanics for direct hire positions. These roles offer competitive wages ranging from $25 to $28/hr., along with excellent benefits. This is an off-shift, on-call assignment.
Job Summary:
The Production Mechanic will be responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks related to facility and equipment maintenance, systems operation, and general mechanical repairs as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. Additional duties will be assigned as required to ensure smooth operations.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform duties in line with a Maintenance Mechanic "C" classification.
  • Assist in the training and development of other mechanics.
  • Willingness to train on various shifts.
  • Complete required training to progress to Maintenance Mechanic "A" classification.
  • Wire three-phase motors for proper rotation.
  • Conduct minor electrical troubleshooting.
  • Repair and maintain machinery.
  • Repair, rebuild, and install power transmission systems.
  • Repair or rebuild pumps, including centrifugal, diaphragm, and progressive types.
  • Perform welding (stick welding) on flat and horizontal surfaces per AWS standards.
  • Carry out general automotive servicing.
  • Adhere to company safety and quality standards.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
  • Required:
    • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred:
    • 2- or 4-year degree or certification in a maintenance-related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related role.
Equipment Operation Experience:
  • Forklift, man lift, crane, welding machine, electric hand tools, plasma cutter.
  • Basic computer operation for reporting and maintenance logs.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for 3+ hours consecutively, bend, kneel, crouch, and ascend/descend stairs and ladders.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.
  • Comfortable with heights and shift work.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency for system operations and troubleshooting.
Additional Equipment Experience:
  • Production manufacturing equipment.
  • PLC touchscreens and manual control panels.
Additional Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in dusty environments.
  • Ability to stand for 3-5 consecutive hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work 8-12 hour rotating shifts.
  • Perform overhead reaching and pulling as needed.
