The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a Welder to work at a company located in the Grass Lake, MI area!

Pay/hours for position




$20-24 – First shift – 6AM – 2:30PM Monday - Friday
Requirements of position



Qualifications and Skills: 
  1. Competent in operation and set up of welding equipment
  2. Understands the metal fabrication process
  3. Interpret blue prints & welding symbols 
  4. Managing job task to a schedule
  5. Has in-depth knowledge of welding techniques
  6. Passes required welding tests, dictated by client and or the Customer
  7. Team oriented
 
Preferred Education and Experience:
 
  1. MIG (GMAW & FCAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding
  2. Trouble shooting 
  3. Blue print reading & welding symbols 
  4. Understands basic metallurgy
  5. Basic knowledge of hand plasma cutter 
  6. Familiar with using hand measuring tools (Tape measure, Weld Measurement devices) 
  7. High School Degree or GED
  8. 1 year’s hands on experience Mig and or Tig welding
 
Responsibilities of position




General Summary: 
Welds, Grinds, and bends to specified shape and quality. Inspects work visually and technically assuring welded components meet all requirements.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
 This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8-10 hours daily, overtime/weekend support as needed.
Essential Functions:
  1. Strive towards completing tasks and jobs within the original estimated hours
  2. Should be able to interpret prints and weld symbols & requirements
  3. Has knowledge of MIG (GMAW & FCAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding of various metals, 
  4. Understands how to prepare materials for welding
  5. Operating tools and machinery (Crane) and welding equipment 
  6. Supports the Quality System
  7. Reading and understanding assembly or process working instructions 
Promotes shop Safety. Specifically, the safe operation and lock out procedures of all presses
